if I want to apply to 15 graduate school programs do i make my prof write 15 letters?
should I have them write all those letters and give them a list of addresses

He’ll just write one and then print out 15 copies and sign them, unless he’s got a personal connection at a particular school. It’s nice to give them not only the addresses but a stamped, addressed envelope – 15 letters for 10 students or more can get expensive quickly.
When I applied to graduate school – the school contacted my references through e-mail and phone calls. They typically don’t require an actual letter (at least the 6 schools I applied to didn’t).
