looking for some average or good schools and with 1 year program.

My ultimate career goal is to teach at a community college or a small college or university. I have a MSW but can’t find a college level teaching job with this degree. If I get a Ph.d online will any college take me serious? Would the institution hire someone with a online doctorate degree. The only reason I am considering this route is because I don’t have to jump 50 hoops to be accepted into a program. I’m looking for some serious answers only. If you have experience with this situation please comment.

Hi All, I plan to pursue my PhD marketing and Finance program. I do research a few online schools like Argosy, Capella, Walden, Columbia Southern University…? Please let me know do you hear anything about those school’s reputation? thanks

I was accepted to Hunter for a Masters in Social Work, This would mean returning to school. I was also accepted at Walden to do my PHD online (I already have a Masters in Ed.) I am very torn as to which is a better option. The MSW is cheaper, but would involve commuting. If I do the PHD, I can continue working, but all my money would go towards the education!
I thank those who responded. However, I do want to say that i did research about Walden, and it is accredited. The graduates that i spoke to were very happy. So why do you feel that it is not good to go through them? It seems a little silly to me to earn another Masters b/c I already have a Masters in Ed, and now i could go to the next leve.

I’m 23 and I studied Sociology during my undergrad. I want to pursue a post graduate and PhD program for clinical Psychology with University of Phoenix but I’m afraid of how employers might view my credentials.

I have my undergrad in psychology and want to get my grad in either psychology or business — I have not decided yet. Thanks, Dave.
