Do any public schools offer online Doctoral Programs?

I know for-profit scam schools offer online graduate programs.

But I wanted to know if any public schools offer them, too.

I live in New York, and SUNY has online Master’s Degrees, and CUNY has online Bachelor’s Degrees.

is getting an online doctoral degree beneficial?

I am considering attending online Doctorate of Social Work program. My future goal is to be able to teach within higher education. I was wondering about the job aspect and how well an online degree would hold when applying for jobs after the online program is completed.

Psych Masters vs Doctoral … which to be in counseling?

Random, but if I wanted to be in counseling psychology (to have a private practice, psychotherapy, or rehabilitation MAYBE)… then what would the schooling be AFTER the undergraduate program?
Masters, then Doctoral?
Just Masters? Just Doctoral?
I’m so confused, please help
sorry I wasn’t clear. I REALLY don’t want to be a social worker, researcher, or school/educational psychologist! Thanks

Currently in a Masters program, want to stop courses and apply to doctoral program or another masters program.?

I am currently in a masters psychology program. My ultimate goal is to get a PhD/PsyD in clinical psychology. I currently don’t like the masters program I am in and want to terminate early. It is overpriced and focuses too much on cultural issues instead of psychopathology and mental disorders. Have other people done this? Is this ok? My ultimate goal is a doctoral degree anyways, so I would think it wouldn’t do harm. Does this reflect bad on me or is it merely be seen as wanting to go to a new program? Thanks ahead for help!
Oh Sorry. I guess I wasn’t specific enough. The program is two years long and I was going to continue until the end of the school year, and by then I would know if I got into another program. Sorry for the confusion!

How difficult is it to pursue a counseling psychology doctoral program in the US?

Dear all,

I am 34yrs old, already work as an academic at a major UK business school but i have been passionate about counseling psychology and helping for over 10 years. Even though i have a good promising career in my current field, i cannot stop feeling drawn towards a path that focuses on helping people and conducting research into human well being. The Counseling psychology programs in the US are both well funded (unlike in the UK) and more rigorous. The prospect of going for such a program is both exciting and frightening because i would be dealing with giving up a promising career (albeit not my passion in life), relocating to another country and living with very limited finances for 6 years.

Are counseling doctorates able to fully finance (fee waver and stipend) international students?

How rigorous / hard is to go through such a program?

Has anyone done what i am considering?

I will greatly appreciate any insight and experiences you decide to share.

Schools offering doctoral degree (phd) in clinical psychology, with LOW COST programs in southern CA?

I am looking for a school offering phd program in clinical psycholgy. It does not matter whether it’s online school or not. I was wondering what are the lowest possible costs for phd program in clinical psychology? also, i was wondering if having completed MA in psychology would shorten a phd program, taking off a year or two? meaning would any courses taken toward MA in psychology would eliminate the need for certain classes in phd program?
